Lady Pioneers Fall on the Road at Frostburg State

Glenville, W.Va. - Glenville State Women's Soccer team lost 3-0 to the Bobcats of Frostburg State. The Pioneers would be outshot 16-4 in the match.

In the first two minutes of the match, Frostburg State found the back of the net gaining an early 1-0 lead. After allowing the early goal the Lady Pioneers created their first shot in the 24th minute of the match. The Bobcats continued to create chances but the Pioneers' defense held strong. Glenville in the last few minutes of the half produced another opportunity to tie the match. Tori Cutright in the 41st-minute shot would be on goal, but Forstburg's goalkeeper was there to make the save. 

Glenville opened the second half of play fighting to score the tying goal. In the second minute of the half, Hannah Hill's shot would be off target. Frostburg State extended their lead in the 66th minute from a penalty kick. Senior Mackenzie Hendricks was called for the foul inside the penalty box. In the 75th minute, Frostburg found the back of the net once more making it a 3-0 match. The Pioneers would have another opportunity from a corner kick in the 87th minute. However, the Lady Pioneers were not able to create another shot. 

Jordyn Dansby-Ross, Ivy White, and Marli Butterfield played the entire match for Glenville. Alyssa West and Tori Cutright would lead the Pioneers in shots on goal.
