Lady Pioneers Fall to the Falcons of Fairmont State in Conference Clash

Glenville, W.Va. Glenville State's Women's Soccer team lost 4-0 to Fairmont State University. The Pioneers would be outshot 33-9 in the match. 

The Falcons scored three goals in the first ten minutes of the match. Glenville would produce a total of four shots in the half. Alyssa West created the Lady Pioneers' first shot at the 20-minute mark. The last chance of the half for Pioneers was produced by Tori Cutright. GSU entered the half trailing 3-0. 

In the second half, Fairmont State scored one more in the match extending their lead 4-0. Jordyn Dansby-Ross would receive a yellow card in the 56th minute of the match. The match proved to be physical with a total of 17 fouls called on both squads. After a penalty kick by the Falcons, Glenville's Hannah Hill produced the only shot on goal.

Tori Cutright, Mackenzie Hendricks, Merel Smets, and Ivy White played the entire match for Glenville. Cutright would also lead the Lady Pioneers in shots with three followed by Hannah Hill with two. While in goal for the Pioneers Mikayla Browm produced 13 saves.

Glenville will be back in action this Saturday against Davis and Elkins College.
