GLENVILLE – The #1 team in the nations returns home on Saturday, as Coach Kim Stephens' Glenville State Lady Pioneers play host to the Wheeling Cardinals. Glenville is coming off a key road win over West Liberty on Wednesday night. Re'Shawna Stone lit the nets for 31 points in that contest.
Stone leads the Lady Pioneers in scoring at 18.4 points per game. She has been complemented by Zakiyah Winfield at 17.1, Dazha Congleton 11.2, and Taychaun Hubbard 11.0.
Wheeling is led by Lauren Calhoun, who is averaging a double-double. The dynamic Calhoun is averaging 20.0 ppg and 11.6 rebounds.
Glenville is now 21-0 on the season, and 16-0 in the Mountain East Conference. Wheeling enters Saturday's game 6-15 overall, and 6-11 in the league.
Tip-off is set for 1:00 on the Waco Center's McPherson Court.
