GLENVILLE – After Wednesday night's scare at Davis & Elkins, Glenville's #1 ranked Lady Pioneers look get back on track this Saturday. Coach Kim Stephens squad plays host to West Virginia Wesleyan at the Waco Center amidst the school's Winter Homecoming festivities.
Glenville materialized a strong fourth quarter at D&E, leaving Elkins with a tough 81-68 victory. With the win, GSC maintained their undefeated season.
Re'Shawna Stone earned MEC Player of the Week honors last week, and is averaging 18.0 points per game. She is currently second in the MEC in scoring, while her teammate Zakiyah Winfield of fourth at 17.2.
Wesleyan is led by Bryant Brown, who averaging 11.8 points per game.
Glenville enters the weekend with a perfect 24-0 record, and 19-0 in the MEC. West Virginia Wesleyan enters 2-19 overall, and 1-18 in the league.
