GLENVILLE – Coach Kim Stephens and her #1 ranked Lady Pioneers are back on the road Wednesday night, facing one of their toughest road tests of the season; a trip to Northern Panhandle to face the 16-6 West Liberty Hilltoppers. Coach Kyle Cooper and his West Lib squad has provided some epic contests against GSC during Stephens tenure on the GSC bench.

Back in 2018, GSC prevailed in the final minute 106-103. In 2020, they held on for a 114-108 victory. In last season's spectator challenged campaign, GSC held on for a hard-fought 101-98 win. The teams always seem to trade punches like an entertaining prize fight.

GSC enters the game 20-0 overall and 15-0 in the Mountain East Conference. They have been led in scoring by Re'Shawna Stone at 17.8 points per game, Zakiyah Winfield at 17.4, and Dazha Congleton at 11.3. This trio also leads the team in assists; Stone at 3.6, Winfield 3.1, and Congleton 2.9. Winfield has logged a team leading 6.8 rebound average, while Stone is averaging a team-high 2.5 steals. Eleven different players are averaging double-figure minutes, and the team leads the nation in scoring at 99.7 points per game.

West Liberty's Audrey Tingle has produced several triple doubles, and almost averages this benchmark; She is at 13.3 points per game, 10.5 rebounds, and 7.0 assists. Corinne Thomas (14.8) and Bailee Smith (14.6) are the team's two top scorers. The Hilltoppers are 11-5 in the MEC.
