GSU Athletic Department Welcomes New Strength & Conditioning Coordinator, Isaiah Myers

GLENVILLE – The Glenville State University Athletic Department has made a strong late-year addition to their coaching team, adding Wheeling native Isaiah Myers on as the institutions Strength & Conditioning Coordinator. Myers began his duties in the Blue and White on March 14, and has quickly been active in engaging with the Pioneer teams.

Myers wrestled for West Liberty University and had a successful career for the Hilltoppers. After graduating from the Hilltop in 2020, Myers spent a season working in the Strength & Conditioning Sports Performance Department at the University of Cincinnati, and followed that year with a stint at the University of North Carolina-Pembroke as the Strength & Conditioning Assistant. In joining the Pioneer Athletic Family, Myers is charges with the oversight of the department's weight room and speed room facilities, and the athletic development of the institution's 18 athletic programs.  

"Through commitment, hard work, and dedication I will lead these athletes to becoming Champions the Pioneer Way," Myers said.

"We are very excited to have Coach Myers in our department," Athletic Director Jesse Skiles said. "He has already made a difference for our programs, and we are very excited for what the future holds for Coach Myers and our programs."
