GLENVILLE – Glenville's Acrobatics and Tumbling team closed their 2022 regular season on Friday night, hosting league power Fairmont in the finale. For the bulk of the night, the Pioneers battled the league juggernaut close, but the Falcons pulled away in the second half for a 266.205-239.050 victory. It was a seasonal best point total for each team.
Glenville's top performances of the night came in Pyramid. The Pioneers scored a 9.450 in Compulsory Pyramid, and followed that with a 9.000 in Inversion Pyramid and a 9.150 in Synchronized Pyramid. These scores kept them close going into halftime as the Falcons held a tight 93-86 advantage at intermission.
Fairmont closes their '22 regular season with a 6-0 league mark, and a 7-1 overall record. They now move on to the MEC Championships next week. Glenville closes their campaign 1-6 overall, and 1-5 in the league.
It was Senior Night in the Waco Center, as the Pioneer program honored senior
Madelin Toy. The Ona, West Virginia native was a four-year member of the program.
