Glenville, W.Va. - Coach
Mike Kellar's Glenville State Football team plays host the UNC Pembroke Braves for the first home game of the season. The game will be a community day sponsored by Minigh Family Dentistry.
Historically the matchup has favored UNC-Pembroke. The Pioneers are 0-4 all-time against the Braves and 0-2 against head coach Shane Richardson. Richardson enters his 10th season as the Braves' head coach but is entering his 17th year with the program. UNC-Pembroke is coming off a win over Mountain East Conference opponent West Virginia Wesleyan. The Braves rushed for 386 yards and only passed for 92 yards. JaQuan Kelly and Zechariah Adams-Duckson both rushed over 100 yards in the contest. Defensively for the Braves, the team produced five tackles for loss and forced one fumble. On special teams, Virgil Lemons accounted for 107 yards with a kickoff return for a touchdown in the win over WVWC.
Glenville is coming off a defeat to the Concord Mountian Lions. The Pioneers' offense is averaging 309 yards per game in the air and 163 yards on the ground. Glenville's passing game is led by quarterback
Jeff Miller. Miller this season is averaging 277 yards per game and has five touchdowns. The Pioneers running backs have been the perfect balance to Glenville's passing attack.

Zakee Swann, and
Saeed Galloway have all been key contributors for the Pioneers. Receiving-wise for Glenville, several Pioneers contributed;
Orion Bonner has produced 131 receiving yards on four receptions. Senior tight end
Isaac Myers has 127 receiving yards, and is averaging 64 yards per game.
