Glenville, W.Va. - The Glenville State University Women's Soccer team fell at home to the Davis and Elkins Senators 6-0.

Davis and Elkins opened the match with a quick goal in the sixth minute. The Lady Pioneers' defense held the Senators in check the rest of the first half not allowing another goal. Sophomores Ivy White and Tori Cutright created chances for the Pioneers after the conceded goal. As a team, Glenville would produce four shots to Davis and Elkins nine in the first half.

In the second half, the Senators added to their lead at the 57th-minute mark when Azalea Ayla scored off of an assist by Alexa Karsel. Davis and Elkins would find the back of the net four more times. The Lady Pioneers tried to take advantage of fouls committed by the Senators, but would only create two shots in the second half. Late in the 90th minute, a yellow card on the Senator's goalkeeper provided a chance for Glenville to score. However, the Lady Pioneers missed the plenty kick

Midfielder Ivy White led the Pioneers in shots and shots on goal with 2. Jordyn Dansby-Ross played 86 minutes of the match followed by Merel Smets with 85.

GSU returns to the pitch at Concord in a mid-week conference clash this Wednesday.
