Athens, W.Va. - The Glenville State Women's Soccer team lost to the Concord Mountain Lions 3-0. Glenville was outshot 20-4 in the match and only took two corner kicks. 

Concord opened the match applying pressure to the Lady Pioneer's defense early with a shot in the fourth minute. The Mountian Lions would strike first in the match scoring in the 11th minute of the match. Glenville produced their first shot in the 21st minute of the match. Graylin Floyd produced the shot for the Pioneers. However, Concord would find the back of the net once again in the first half. In the 29th minute, the Mountain Lion's Reeanna Cook found the back of the net making the match 2-0.

Early in the second half Concord struck again making it a 3-0 match. The Pioneers created three more shots in the match. Merel Smets and Mackenzie Hendricks produced opportunities for the Pioneers. The Lady Pioneers tried to take advantage of set pieces but could not convert. Kaitly Bruce, Tessa Cinotti, and Destiny Navarrete all made appearances in the second half.

Jordyn Dansby-Ross and Merel Smets played the entire match for Glenville. Both Hannah Hill and Mackenzie Hendricks represented the Pioneers for 80 minutes of the match. Smets led the lady PIoneers in shots tonight with two.

The Lady Pioneers will be back in action next Sunday against the University of Charleston at 1:00 PM.
