This weekend the Lady Pioneer Volleyball squad travels to Lock Haven University for the 2022 Bald Eagle Classic. Glenville opens the tourney on September 2nd at 3:00 PM facing D'Youville College. The Pioneers will face Lake Erie College at 5:00 PM following their first match. The Blue and White enters the tournament with a 3-2 record.

The Saints of D'Youville College are coached by Jaime Snyder. Synder enters her first year at the helm. D'Youville has started the season 2-2 with wins over Saint Michael's and Kutztown. Freshman Isabelle Prentice leads the Saints in kills with 29, while Samantha Killane has produced 44 digs for D'Youville in the 2022 campaign. Sophomore Emma Wlostoski leads the Saints in assists generating 6.87 assists per set.

Lake Erie was selected 12th in the 2022 G-MAC Preseason Coaches' Poll. Lee Anderson enters his second season in charge of the Lake Erie program. The Storm enter the Bald Eagle Classic 0-3 averaging 9.31,1.92 service aces, and 15 digs per set. Senior Jordan Taylor has produced 24 kills in the 2022 campaign. Simone Schurr leads the Storm with seven service aces.

For Glenville this season, the Lady Pioneers have had a balanced source of production from newcomers and returning players. Returners
Lindsay Winkler and
Julia King have been key contributors. Winkler enters her senior season leading the Lady Pioneers in digs with 68 through five games. Junior
Julia King has produced 79 assists, 10 aces, and 16 kills. Newcomers Katrazyna Niderla and
Nalaina Funk have helped propel the young squad early in their GSU careers'. Niderla, a transfer from New Mexico Military Institute is the Pioneers leader in kills with 54 and blocks with 15. Funk, a freshman, is the co-leader in kills and has produced 28 kills in her Glenville career.
