GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Women's Soccer will conclude the 2023 regular season tomorrow (Nov. 1) as they host Concord at Morris Stadium. The Mountain Lions and the Pioneers met earlier in the season in Athens with CU winning 6-0.

THE OPPONENT
CONCORD
The Mountain Lions enter (10-5-2, 9-4-1 MEC) following a split last week against Davis & Elkins (W, 6-0) and #9 Charleston (L, 3-0).
Luke Duffy is in his eighth season in charge of CU Women's Soccer. In 2021, the Duffy-led Mountain Lions advanced to NCAA DII Elite Eight with an Atlantic Region Championship and produced three All-Americans. Concord made it to four-consecutive MEC Championship games from 2018-2021. Prior to taking over at CU, Duffy spent two seasons as an assistant at Queens University.
Sydney Tucker is the leading goal scorer with nine. Alexa Todd and Reeanna Cook have added six goals each also. Nora Voisey leads the team in assists with eight. Sarah Pattillo is one of three goalies who have protected the net so far this season, leading all of them with 28.
THE PIONEERS
GLENVILLE STATE
The Pioneers come in (5-9-3, 3-9-2 MEC) after an 0-2 week against Charleston and West Virginia Wesleyan. Even with the two losses last week, Glenville State secured their first ever MEC Tournament appearance on Wednesday following Davis & Elkins losing.
Merel Smets continues to lead the offensive attack with 11 goals for the Pioneers, followed by Aitana Viejo's five. Viejo has been useful in the passing game as well, putting out a team leading five assists. Abigail Morales (29 saves) and Mikayla Brown (23 saves) have shared time at goalie this year.
