FROSTBURG, Md. - The Glenville State Women's Soccer team had their historic season come to an end this afternoon in a 1-0 loss at Frostburg State in the MEC Quarterfinals. The Bobcats outshot the Pioneers 16-6, including 11-1 in the 1st Half.
FSU scored the only goal of the game early on as Catherine Smith's shot from in front of the net at the 13th minute proved to be crucial. The lone shot that Glenville State had in the opening half was by Irene Robles at the 25-minute mark.
In the second half, Frostburg State kept the ball away from the Pioneers as much as possible to control the time of possession. The strategy worked out for FSU, holding on to win 1-0.
