GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Women's Soccer continues Mountain East Conference play this week, starting on the road at Davis & Elkins tomorrow at 7 p.m. and hosting the University of Charleston inside Morris Stadium on Sunday at 2 p.m.

THE OPPONENTS
DAVIS & ELKINS
The Senators enter (0-3, 0-1 MEC) following a 5-0 loss on Sunday at the University of Charleston to open up MEC play.
Alberto "Kiko" Magana enters his second season leading the Senators WSOC program. In his first season, Magana led D&E to a (9-8-1, 8-7-1 MEC) record. Magana came to Davis & Elkins from Highland C.C. in Kansas, leading the Scotties to a 5-5 conference record in their inaugural season. He also served as an assistant at William Jewell in Missouri.
Madison Rose scored the lone goal for the Senators this season while Ciara Casamento had the assist. Rose has the most shots on goal with two this year as well. D&E's given up 17 total goals in just three games so far.
CHARLESTON
The Golden Eagles come in (2-0-1, 1-0 MEC), with wins over Gannon and Davis & Elkins and a tie with Kutztown.
Gary Ogilvie is in his first year as HC of Charleston. Ogilvie was previously an assistant with the UC men's program where he helped lead the Golden Eagles to the National Championship game in 2020. He has also been an assistant at Snow College, giving his time to both the men's and women's team and being the Interim Head Coach for a short period of time.
The Golden Eagles have three separate players with two goals on the season (Laura Vierhout, Juliette Lucas and Sophia Mankowski) with four others putting at least one in the back of the net. UC has scored 10 goals in three games as a team. To go with her goal scoring, Vierhout ties Lina Jaime with two assists on the year.
THE PIONEERS
GLENVILLE STATE
The Pioneers enter the week (1-1-1, 0-1 MEC) after going 0-1-1 last week with a tie at Lake Erie and a 2-1 loss at West Virginia State.
Merel Smets is tied with Wheeling's Mary DiFonzo for the lead in the MEC in goals with three. Freshman Aitana Viejo has recorded two goals and Mackenzie Hendricks netted her first goal on Sunday at WVSU. Four different Pioneers have an assist this season and Abigail Morales has two saves.
