BLUEFIELD STATE
The Big Blue enter (1-0) overall after opening the season with a 4-0 win at Allen University (S.C.) on Friday. BSU went (7-7-3) in 2022.

Scott Forster enters his third season leading the Bluefield State Women's Soccer program. This also marks the third year of competition for the Big Blue as Forster was one of the founders of the program in 2021. Last year, BSU had new records for wins, goals scored, clean sheets and wins against NCAA DII opponents. Prior to Bluefield State, Forster spent two seasons as an assistant at Montana State while also serving as the recruting coordinator.

Four different players (Marit Blom, Martina Cardemil, Ava Jakich-Kunze and Sayen Santana) scored against Allen on Friday. Jailynn Creek, Estelle Huc and Birta osk Sigurjons all recorded an assist. Jakich-Kunze is a key returner from last year's squad, netting the second-most goals on the team with three.

The Pioneers are coming off a season where they struggled to find the back of the net, going (0-18, 0-16 MEC) in 2022.
