Preview: Women's Soccer Faces Charleston & West Virginia Wesleyan to Close Home Portion of Schedule

GLENVILLE, W.Va. – This week the Pioneers hope to add to their win column this week as they have home field advantage in both matchups against the University of Charleston (12-3, 11-1 MEC) on Wednesday (Oct. 30) and West Virginia Wesleyan College (5-8-2, 3-7-2 MEC) on Sunday (Nov. 3).

2024 Season
The Golden Eagles enter Wednesday's game with a (12-3, 11-1 MEC) record after a 1-0 win over West Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday.

Marcelle Stoller and Valentina Quiroz have scored the most goals for the Pioneers with five apiece. Aitana Viejo leads the team in assists with four on the season. Viejo also has the most shots for GSU with 29 shots while both Marcelle Stoller and Merel Smets lead the team in shotS on goal with 16 each. In her 13 games this season with the Pioneers, Lucia Lopez has managed to record 55 saves while only allowing 12 goals.
