ATHENS, W.Va. – The Glenville State Volleyball team lost their season finale on the road at Concord Friday night, 3-0.
The Pioneers started off the first set strong, taking a 2-0 lead from a CU error but Concord would bounce back and win the set, 25-10. The second set was contested throughout, as it would be tied at 15 after a Deniz Selen-Yazar kill and tied again at 20 after a Rita Kelly kill, however the Mountain Lions closed out the set, 25-22. The third and final set of the year for the Pioneers was also tight in the beginning stages as it was only a 17-16 CU lead after a Morgan Stephenson ace but once again, GSU could not muster a push to 25 and would lose set three, 25-17.

Concord
Kyndra Pilant led the team in kills with nine while Meg Williams and Natalie Brown chipped in with six apiece. Paige Richmond was the leading setter with 15 assists in the match. Defensively, Allie Davis recorded 16 digs and Jasmine Anderson had seven blocks.
Glenville State
Larissa Howe continued her strong play down the stretch with six killswith Deniz Selen-Yazar also finishing with six and Rita Kelly had five. Sadie Hill led the Pioneers with 17 assists and defensively, Morgan Stephenson tallied 10 digs while Malerie Ross had five. Kelly also had two blocks, along with Riley Tosseng with two as well.
