GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State athletes Savannah Duckworth and Carlos De Jesus have been named Pioneers of the Week, the GSU Athletic Department announced today. 

Duckworth, a standout top and tumbler for the Acrobatics & Tumbling squad, helped the Pioneers record five new season highs this past week as well as tie another in GSU's 260.185-250.025 win at Notre Dame College. Duckworth's events saw scores of 9.8 or better in three events, including a 9.9 in the Pyramid Heat 3. 

O'Connor, a star boxer for Head Coach Duane Chapman, secured his second national championship after defeating former Michigan football running back Isaiah Gash for the title belt. This is O'Connor's second championship in as many weight classes.
