NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. - Former Glenville State Men's Basketball assistant coach Joe Mazulla has been named the 2025-26 NBA Coach of the Year, the association announced.

Mazulla, who got his coaching start on Stephen Dye's staff for two seasons in the early 2010s, led the Boston Celtics to a 56-26 record this season, despite missing six-time NBA All-Star Jayson Tatum. This year marked his fourth consecutive 50-win season as HC of the Celtics and he is now (238-90) during his tenure.

He coached a pair of WVIAC All-Conference and WVIAC All-Freshman team members during his time with the Pioneers. Mazzulla joined the staff after a successful playing career at West Virginia, where he helped WVU to a FInal Four in 2010.
