GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Men's Basketball will play Frostburg State tomorrow (Mar. 6) in the opening round of the MEC Tournament at WesBanco Arena. The Pioneers swept the Bobcats during the regular season.

THE OPPONENT
FROSTBURG STATE
The Bobcats closed out the 2023-24 campaign (3-25, 2-18 MEC), finishing a game ahead of West Virginia Wesleyan for the final spot in the MEC Tournament.
Zack Thomsen is in his first season as Head Coach of the Bobcats. Thomsen came to Frostburg State after spending the last seven seasons as HC at the State University of New York at Delhi. In those seven seasons, Thomsen amassed 123 victories and helped lead SUNY Delhi to a successful transition from NAIA to NCAA Division III with an NCAA Tournament bid last season. He has MEC ties as he was an assistant at Shepherd during their time in the MEC.
Logan Lewis is the only Bobcat averaging double figures, posting 13.1 PPG. Lewis adds 4.8 RPG and 1.2 APG to his totals. Koby Baptiste leads the team in rebounding, pulling down 6.9 RPG while scoring 8.9 PPG. Justin Roseme (9.6 PPG), Robby Williams (9.5 PPG) and JayShaun Freeman (9.0 PPG) aid the Bobcat offense.
THE PIONEERS
GLENVILLE STATE
The Pioneers finished the season (13-15, 8-12 MEC) after defeating Concord on Saturday to end the regular season.
All-MEC Second Team selection Jordan Turbo Smith leads the Pioneers in scoring (14.3 PPG), assists (5.1 APG) and steals (1.6 SPG). Devin Collins earned All-MEC Honorable Mention, averaging 13.5 PPG and a team leading 5.4 RPG. Dominiq Penn (12.6 PPG) has been another valuable option on the offensive end.
