BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Glenville State freshman Hector Arriaga has been named Mountain East Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the league announced. The weekly award is presented by The Health Plan.

Arriaga, a freshman from Mexico, was the individual medalist at the Sunnehanna Collegiate in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, this week. Arriaga finished with a 5-under through three rounds, which included a masterful 6-under in Round 2. Arriaga shot 70-64-71 at the Par 70 Sunnehanna Country Club, firing seven birdies with one bogey in the second round to clear the field by three strokes overall.
