PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Glenville State Volleyball team picked up a road conference win over Point Park in four sets on Saturday afternoon in Pittsburgh, defeating the Pioneers 3-1 to secure their second MEC victory of the year.
In the first set, Glenville State held control from the beginning, holding a lead the entire way that was led by Mikayla Curry and Keleigh Chrisman, winning 25-21. In set two, GSU would trail early, however an eight-to-zero run led by Kaiya Lian would complete the comeback, 25-19. Glenville State fell in set three due to a five-nothing run fueled by Point Park's Savannah Kitchen and Marianna Oyola-Rivera, 25-15. The fourth set would belong to the blue and white as they rattled off six consecutive points thanks to Rita Kelly and Cali Queen kills and would win the final set, 25-17, and the match, 3-1.

Avery Budrys Rini led PPU with 12 kills while Alex Koontz chipped in with 11 and Marianna Oyola-Rivera had 32 assists. On defense, Alex Koontz had nine digs and Patricia Calero-Irizarry had five blocks.
Glenville State
Mikayla Curry led the Pioneer attack with 11 kills as Rita Kelly had nine and Kaiya Lian had six. Elitsa Peneva had 14 assists and Sadie Hill added ten. Defensively, Curry and Deniz Selen Yazar both had four blocks and Ava O'Hare had 12 digs.
