GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Women's Soccer is scheduled for a big week of MEC action this week as the Pioneers travel to Buckhannon on Tuesday (Oct. 22) to take on West Virginia Wesleyan before hosting Davis & Elkins on Sunday (Oct. 26) inside Morris Stadium.

THE OPPONENTS 
WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN
2025 Season
The Bobcats enter the week at (5–6–2) overall and (3–6–1) in MEC play, coming off a loss to Frostburg State on Sunday (Oct. 19). They've been inconsistent this season but have shown they can put up goals in a hurry, including a 7–0 win over Salem. 

Quick Look at The Bobcats 
Wesleyan has multiple scoring options, led by Sydne Alexander and Paloma Zamora. They've been in a number of close games, with several results against teams Glenville has also faced, including wins over West Liberty and Salem. Glenville defeated the Bobcats 3–0 earlier this season, but WVWC will look to defend their home turf in the rematch. 

DAVIS & ELKINS
2025 Season
Davis & Elkins comes into the week (1–7–5) overall and (1–6–4) in MEC play. Although wins have been hard to come by, the Senators have forced draws against several tough opponents, including Fairmont State, Concord and Wheeling.

Quick Look at The Senators 
D&E plays a gritty, compact style and thrives in lower-scoring games. Sophia Brown and Addyson Cogar have been their biggest offensive sparks. Earlier this year, Glenville and D&E played to a 1–1 draw in Elkins, setting up an intriguing rematch this Sunday in Glenville.

THE PIONEERS 
GLENVILLE STATE
2025 Season
The Pioneers come in (5–7–1) overall and (4–5–1) in MEC play, riding a two-match win streak after shutting out Salem, 7-0, and battling through brutal weather for a 1-0 win over Wheeling on Sunday (Oct. 19)

Quick Look at The Pioneers
Solares Solano leads the team with eight goals on the year, while Aitana Viejo, Valentina Quiroz and Jaina Munoz have also stepped up offensively. Glenville has already beaten Wesleyan and earned a draw against D&E earlier this season — two results they'll look to build on to keep climbing the MEC table. This is a crucial week for the Pioneers as they look to lock in momentum for the home stretch and make a late push in conference standings.
