Preview: Pioneers to Host West Liberty, Wheeling on Friday & Saturday

GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Volleyball prepares for two home conference matchups this weekend, hosting West Liberty and Wheeling back-to-back days inside the Waco Center. GSU is coming off a (2-1) week and is looking to carry momentum into late season play.

THE OPPONENTS
WEST LIBERTY
2025 Season
Currently holding a (12-10) record and (5-2) mark in the MEC, the Hilltoppers will roll into Glenville with a three-game winning streak.

Quick Look at The Hilltoppers
West Liberty is led by Ashley Cudnik on offense as she has 226 kills on the year while Dakota Keni is up to 515 assists through 22 games for the black and yellow. Defensively Bella Dart has 278 digs and Grace Hill has 54 blocks to lead the way.

WHEELING
2025 Season
The Cardinals are currently (9-11) overall and (5-2) in the MEC with three-straight losses.

Wheeling is led by Camryn Matus with 191 kills and Cami Black with 189 kills while Faith Keifer has 353 assists. On defense, Kendall Kupper has 268 digs and Katie Wilking has 46 blocks, with both leading their respective stat categories.

THE PIONEERS
GLENVILLE STATE
2025 Season
At (10-12) overall and (2-5) in league play, GSU is looking to build off of their two-game winning streak.

Quick Look at The Pioneers
The Pioneers continue to be led by freshman Kaiya Lian with 160 kills and seniors Rita Kelly (126 kills) and Mikayla Curry (125 kills). The leading setter is Sadie Hill, who has totaled 258 assists while Elitsa Peneva has chipped in 235. On defense, two freshman are atop the digs category in Cali Queen (236) and Ava O'Hare (233) with Curry leading the frontline with 62 blocks on the year.
