NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Glenville State Women's Cross Country team has cracked the top 10 in the USTFCCCA Atlantic Regional Coaches Rankings for the first time in program history, the association announced. The Pioneers come in at No. 10 this week.
Glenville State is coming off their highest finish since 1993 at a conference meet when the Pioneers placed 4
th at the MEC Championship on Saturday (Oct. 25). GSU has been led all season by
Natalie Barr, who claimed her second-consecutive All-MEC First Team selection with a 3
rd place finish while
Jenna Barnett stepped up in a big way to earn her first All-MEC First Team nod with a fifth-place finish.
The Pioneers are accompanied by Davis & Elkins (1
st), Point Park (5
th) and Charleston (8
th) in the regional rankings. Glenville State will get to showcase their stellar season next Saturday (Nov. 8) at the NCAA DII Atlantic Regional Championship in Lock Haven.
