DANIELS, W.Va. – Glenville State Men's Golf was in it until the end at the MEC Fall Championship, narrowly finishing second and placing one of the All-Tournament Team.
Glenville State could not mount a third-round comeback after being down two strokes to Charleston heading into the final 18 holes and would finish second by three strokes after posting a +19, +1 and +8 for the three rounds.
Daiki Aiura (3rd place) posted rounds of 74, 71 and 72 to earn his spot on the All-Tournament Team and lead the Pioneers.
Other finishers for GSU were Fermin Perez Santandrea (6th place, +3) over the three rounds, Irtaza Hussain (11th place, +9) and Hector Arriaga (20th place, +19).

The fall golf season will conclude when GSU heads to Bluefield for the BSU tournament on October 19th.
