GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State athletes Natalie Barr and Colby Whitehill have been named GoMart Pioneers of the Week, the GSU Athletic Department announced.

Barr, a junior out of Canvas, W.Va. on the cross country team, finished in the top half of the NCAA DII Cross Country Championship on Saturday (Nov. 22). The first-ever Pioneer to win the Atlantic Region placed 109th out of 263 runners with a time of 21:56 in the 6k race.

Whitehill, a redshirt senior on the Pioneer wrestlng team, went (2-0) at Friday's (Nov. 21) Laker Duals at Grand Valley State. The heavyweight bruiser beat St. Cloud State's Jadon Mims by decision before earning GSU their second win of the day with a 9-4 decision over Grand Valley State's Carter Blough, who is the nation's No. 4 heavyweight.
