HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Glenville State Indoor Track & Field teams broke three records and logged over 20 personal bests at Saturday's (Dec. 6) Marshall Opener in Huntington, This was the season opener for the Pioneer indoor team.

NEW SCHOOL RECORDS
Natalie Barr broke the school record in the 5k run (17:33)
Nick Pitchford broke the record in the 5k run (15:07)
Yohanna Heckert broke the school record for the 500m dash (1:25)

NEW PERSONAL BESTS
Macy Hilvers threw 14.54m in the weight throw and is now 3rd all-time.
Brianna Browning threw 11.63m in the weight throw for a new personal best.
Jacob Bauman threw 14.84 in the shot put and is now 4th all-time.
MJ Daniels is now 2nd all-time for high jump (1.58m) and placed 2nd at the meet.
Isaac Smith raced a new personal record in the 200m dash with a time of 23.55.
Ian Strader has an indoor personal best in high jump (1.90m) and the 400m dash (51.04). He is now 4th all-time for high jump and 5th all-time for the 400m dash.
Morgan Ruggles placed 2nd in the mile and set a personal best with a time of 5:40. She is now 5th all-time in the mile.
Abby Dixon set a PR in the mile, running 5:40, and placed 1st in the event. She is also 3rd all-time in the mile.
Braden Hashman set a new personal best in the 200m dash with a time of 23.55.
Jenna Barnett is now 2nd all-time for the 5000m run with a time of 18:28.
Katie Hicks ran her first indoor 5000m in 19:30, putting her 3rd all-time.
Laura Cain is now 4th all-time for the indoor 5000m run (19:59).
Kamryn Armstrong raced the 5000m run and set a personal record of 20:40.
Elijah Armes raced a new personal best in the 5000m run with a time of 17:04.
Marah Erkkinen raced her first indoor 400m dash with a time of 1:04.
Isabelle Torres is now 2nd all-time in the 400m dash (1:00) and 5th all-time for the 200m dash (26.64)
Hannah Hill is now 3rd all-time in the 400m dash (1:01) and raced a personal best in the 200m dash (26.99)
Jackson Mallett placed second in the 3000m run and set a new personal best of 9:07. He is also 5th all-time for the 3000m run.
Ella Austin is 4th all-time for the 3000m run with a time of 11:42.
Will Jackson moved up to 3rd all-time in the weight throw with a throw of 15.86m.

The Pioneers will return after the new year and compete at the Muskie Meet #1 in New Concord, Ohio (Jan. 17th).
