GLENVILLE, W.Va. – The Glenville State Lady Pioneers were defeated on Senior Day, 75-67, by Wheeling earlier this afternoon at the Waco Center.
The Cardinals came out of the gates hot, scoring 19 in the first quarter with baskets from Kenzie Dalton and Kritsel Rattasepp. In the second, the Lady Pioneers would claw back into the game with scores from Tynasia Bunting and Ashlyn Riley, shrinking their deficit to just three at halftime, 32-29. In the third, GSU retook the lead after baskets from Jade Salters and Mycala Carney, allowing the blue and white to go up 47-43 at the end of three. The fourth quarter was not kind to the Lady Pioneers as they would surrender 32 points and were not able to close out the game, falling 75-67.

Wheeling
Kristel Rattasepp led the team with 22 points while Kenzie Dalton had 21 and eight rebounds to lead the team. Graci Fairman chipped in with 10 with Bryana Henderson and Emilia Sieraa Locosta both notching seven points.
Glenville State
Senior Tynasia Bunting had 17 to lead the Lady Pioneers and pulled down four rebounds. Senior Dream Cherry had 11 points and three rebounds. Ashlyn Riley and Mycala Carney had nine apiece while Jade Salters had eight and Stevi Yancy had five.
