GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State athletes
Jordyn Taylor and Zailees Seda have earned Female Co-Pioneers of the Week while
Gaetano DeLeonardis is the Male Pioneer of the Week presented by GoMart, the GSU Athletic Department announced.
Taylor, a freshman out of Huntington, W.Va., broke the school record with a 3.25m mark in the pole vault at the Muskie Meet #3. The 3.25m broke the record for both the indoor and outdoor record.
Seda, a sophomore transfer from Saint Peter's (D1), went 7-14 with two home runs, seven RBIs, one double, three walks, two stolen bases and nine runs scored at the Valkyrie Classic in South Carolina. The Johnstown, Pa. native went 3-4 with a homer and three RBIs against Limestone and 2-3 with an RBI versus Erskine.
DeLeonardis, a senior out of Saxonburg, Pa., won his second-consecutive Mountain East Conference championship this past weekend, rolling through his opponents and dominating his championship match, 21-5.
