GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Track & Field opens up the outdoor season today (Mar. 21) in North Carolina at the 49er Classic on the campus of the University of Charlotte.
The Pioneers are about a month removed from their last time out when they completed the 2025 MEC Indoor Championships in late February. Their is a lot to be excited about for GSU this outdoor season as they have back-to-back-to-back (two indoor, one indoor) MEC Shot Put champion Janae Scott as well as a plethora of All-Conference performers in Natalie Barr, Jordyn Taylor, Aaron Kupfner, John Bowen, Braden Hashman and Charlie Bauman.
THE TEAMS
The Pioneers will be accompanied by Anderson (S.C.), Bob Jones Univ., Belmont Abbey, Catawba, Concord, Converse, Cornell, Davidson, Duquesne, East Tennessee State, Furman, Gardner-Webb, High Point, Lees-McRae, Livingstone, Mercer, Morgan State, NC State, New Haven, North Greenville, Otterbein, Pfeiffer, Point Park, Presbyterian, Queens (N.C.), Shawnee State, Johnson C. Smith, UNC-Asheville, USC Upstate, Wingate, Wofford and the host, Charlotte.
