37-Year Men’s School Record Taken Down, Another Broken on Women’s Side for Pioneers in Tim Weaver Invite

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The Glenville State Track & Field teams had another outstanding weekend as a 37-year men's school record was broken and another record was shattered on the women's side at the Tim Weaver Invite in West Liberty.

NEW SCHOOL RECORDS
Patrick Reilly broke the 37-year school record in the 10k, running a time of 31:45.93 and placing first in the event.

Jenna Barnett broke the school record in the 3000m steeple by 30 seconds, crossing the finish line at 12:02.68 with a third-place finish in the event.

NEW PERSONAL BESTS
Women
Kamryn Armstrong notched a new personal record in the 3000m steeple with a time of 13.35.83.
Isabela Torres PR'd in the 200m dash (27.06) and the 400m dash (1:02.27).
Savannah Cunningham also had PR's in the 200m dash (27.85) and 400m dash (1:02.50).
Katie Hicks ran to a new personal best in the 1500m run, finishing at 5:32.14.
Bella Skeens placed fourth and picked up a new personal best in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:09.76.
Jayden Cover finished the 200m dash with a PR at 29.11.
Keleigh Chrisman had a new personal record in the discus with a throw of 32.08m.
Brianna Browning PR'd in the hammer throw at 35.22m.
Janae Scott also PR'd in the hammer throw and took fifth with a throw of 45.28m.
Addy Cottrill set new personal bests in the hammer (46.27m) and javelin (29.35m), placing 3rd in the hammer.

Men
Aaron Kupfner PR'd in the 110m hurdles and placed first with a time of 14.97. Kupfner didn't PR in the 400m hurdles but he won the event with a time of 55.27.
Braden Hashman was right behind Kupfner in the 110m hurdles, notching a new PR at 15.02.
Caden Davis placed sixth and PR'd in the 1500m run with a time of 4:10.83.
Brady Layman (11:13.28), Jackson Mallett (10:30.98) and Nick Pitchford (9:38.11) all PR'd in the 3000m steeple while Pitchford placed second.
Isaac Slater ran to a new personal record in the 1500m run at 4:33.84.
Josh Berke also PR'd in the 1500m run with a time of 4:40.23.
Isaac Smith's jump of 6.40m in the long jump secured him a new personal best.
Casey Mahoney's throw of 13.96m in the shot put allowed him to PR and place seventh.
Kaden Mills set a new personal record in the discus at 34.41m.
Hunter Goddard set a new PR in the discus with a throw of 38.13m.
Adam Burnside had PR's in the hammer (32.65m) and discus (33.42m).
Patrick Richison notched a new personal best in the hammer throw at 19.36m.

The Pioneers head to Charleston on Friday (Apr. 4) for the UC Golden Eagle Invite.
