BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Glenville State Football swept the MEC Offensive & Defensive Player of the Week honors with quarterback
Anthony Garrett and defensive back
Brandon Penn. The weekly award is presented by
The Health Plan.
Garrett, a senior out of Detroit, Mich., threw for 328 yards on 18-of-29 passing with a touchdown while running for 76 yards on five carries and a touchdown. His passing TD was a 77-yard connection with
Arnav Thornhill and he notched a 42-yard run that eventually led to a Pioneer TD.
Penn, a redshirt senior out of Parkersburg, W.Va., had a career-high 15 tackles in the Pioneers 44-28 victory at Millersville on Saturday. Penn also recorded a 100-yard pick six, a blocked field goal and a 0.5 TFL to add onto his already impressive day.
