GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State athletes
Ava O'Hare and
Irtaza Hussain have been awarded GoMart Pioneers of the Week, the GSU Athletic Department announced.
O'Hare, a true freshman out of Tampa, Fla., recorded 52 digs, five assists and a service ace in GSU Volleyball's four games last week. She had double-digit digs in three of the four contests, including a 22-dig performance in their win against Goldey-Beacom.
Hussain, a true freshman out of Islamabad, Pakistan, spearheaded the Pioneer Men's Golf 16-team tournament win early last week at the Dr. Wally Edgell Invitational. Hussain finished 5
th overall in the 87-player field, shooting a (+5) over three rounds, which was highlighted by an impressive (-2) in the final round.
