GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State athletes Ashlyn Riley and Nick Johnson have been tabbed GoMart Pioneers of the Week, the GSU Athletic Department announced.
 
Riley, a repeat winner of the award from Shinnston, W.Va., averaged 20.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG and 1.0 SPG with a 63% three-point mark in the Lady Pioneers two victories over Davis & Elkins and West Virginia Wesleyan. In GSU's 88-63 win at D&E, Riley scored 16 points and grabbed five boards on 6-for-7 field goal shooting and 3-for-4 from three-point range. She backed that performance up with a big 25-point afternoon versus WVWC in a battle for first-place. She shot 11-for-15 from the field and also grabbed four rebounds.
 
Johnson had a dominate weekend at the Virginia Duals for the Pioneers, going (4-0) with four pinfall victories to help lead the Pioneers to winning the event in Hampton with wins over Johns Hopkins, Averett, Frostburg State and Findlay. In the match against Findlay, Johnson's pinfall surged GSU to their 25-20 comeback in the championship match.
