Elijah Redfern have been tagged
GoMart Pioneers of the Week, the GSU Athletic Department announced.
Pinkney showed her value as she helped lead the Lady Pioneers to a (2-0) week with wins at WVSU (89-68) and Concord (91-86) last week. The 5-foot guard out of Annapolis, Md. averaged 18.0 PPG on 55% shooting (15-27) with 3.0 RPG, 3.0 APG and 1.0 SPG. Pinkney dropped a season-high 26 points with six rebounds and three assists at West Virginia State while finishing the week with 10 points and three assists at Concord.
Redfern was a big piece of the Pioneers (2-0) week on the road, where GSU picked up wins at WVSU and Concord. The 6-3 guard averaged 30.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 2.0 APG and 1.5 SPG with shooting marks of 63% (25-40) from the field and 42% (5-12) from behind the arc. Redfern dropped 31 points with seven rebounds, two assists and a steal at West Virginia State before having 30 points with two rebounds, two assists and two steals in the Pioneers 112-100 victory at Concord.
