BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - Glenville State Men's Basketball standout guard
Elijah Redfern produced a pair of 30-point performances last week to earn himself Mountain East Conference Player of the Week, the league announced today. The weekly award is presented by The Health Plan.
Redfern was a big piece of the Pioneers (2-0) week on the road, where GSU picked up wins at WVSU and Concord. The 6-3 guard averaged 30.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 2.0 APG and 1.5 SPG with shooting marks of 63% (25-40) from the field and 42% (5-12) from behind the arc. Redfern dropped 31 points with seven rebounds, two assists and a steal at West Virginia State before having 30 points with two rebounds, two assists and two steals in the Pioneers 112-100 victory at Concord.
