HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Glenville State Indoor Track & Field team completed the Jewel City Invitational at Marshall earlier today (Feb. 7), with two Pioneers breaking school records inside the Chris Cline Athletic Complex.
Natalie Barr broke her own school record in the mile with a time of 4:58, finishing second in teh 37-runner race and only losing to an unattached athlete.
Freshman
Rory Taylor-Young broke the school record in the 400m dash, crossing at 49.82.
Additionally,
Nick Pitchford placed top five in the mile run with a time of 4:16 while
Jenna Barnett and
Katie Hicks finished first and second in the 5000m run.
Will Jackson won the men's weight throw with his 16.56m throw and
Addy Cottrill was first in the women's weight throw at 15.41m.
Up Next For The Pioneers
The Pioneers will make a return to Youngstown State next weekend for the YSU Last Chance Meet on Friday (Feb. 13).
