VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Glenville State Track & Field standout
Janae Scott became the first-ever female T&F Pioneer to earn All-American at the NCAA DII Indoor Track & Field Championships. Scott is the first indoor or outdoor female athlete to garner such honor, doing so in the shot put.
Scott placed 14
th out of 18 throwers in the event, logging a throw of 14.18 in her second hurl to be tabbed Second Team All-American. Scott's first heave was 13.30m, but a strong second throw boosted the junior out of Doylestown, Pa. to a top 15 finish.
AWARDS BREAKDOWN
USTFCCCA unveiled an updated All-America award structure for the 2025-26 academic year, with First Team All-America being awarded to the top eight finishers in each men's and women's event, Second Team All-America being awarded to finishers 9-16 in each individual men's and women's event and finishers 9-12 in each men's and women's relay event, and Honorable Mention being awarded to finishers 17-19 in each individual men's and women's event.
