NEW ORLEANS, La. – Glenville State Track & Field standouts
Natalie Barr and
Janae Scott have been named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region for the indoor season, the association announced.
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams. The regions used for this award – Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast and West – match those used during the cross country season.
Barr earned All-Region in Mile, 3k and 5k, as the West Virginia native has now earned three USTFCCCA All-Region indoor awards and a total of five All-Region honors across cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field.
Scott, who just became the first-ever female Pioneer Track & Field athlete to be an All-American, earned her third All-Region honor with her incredible indoor season. The former Bridgeport transfer was All-Region in shot put for a second straight season.
