GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Former Glenville State athletes Payton Hawkins and Megan Bankes were officially announced as the recipients of the 2025 Montrose and Williams Awards at Saturday's (Feb. 28) Winter Homecoming basketball games inside the Waco Center. These awards are announced annually in honor of Pioneer greats Frank Montrose and Clarissa Williams. 

Hawkins, a former member of the Pioneer Football team, was an All-MEC First Team selection in 2024 at center and was twice on the Academic All-MEC team. Hawkins also earned a plethoa of academic achievements institutionally.

Bankes, a former Acrobatics & Tumbling standout, was All-MEC First Team for the Pioneers in 2025 while qualifying for the NCATA Nationals in 2024. She's also landed on the Academic All-MEC team during her collegiate career with an abundance of academic ahievements at Glenville State.
