GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State athletes Janae Scott and Zach Laurie have been labeled GoMart Pioneers of the Week, the GSU Athletic Department announced.
 
Scott, a junior out of Doylestown, Pa., captured two school records this weekend at West Virginia Wesleyan's Jasmine Claggett Memorial Invite and moved herself to No. 15 in the country in the shot put with a throw of 14.65m. She placed second in the shot put and was fourth in the hammer throw with a toss of 49.84m.
 
Laurie was on a tear this weekend for the Pioneers in their four-game sweep of Davis & Elkins, going 7-for-14 with a double, triple and 11 RBIs. He went 3-for-5 with five RBIs in game two of the series before going 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs in game three of the series. The graduate student also scored five runs over the four contests.
