GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State athletes
Hannah Howe and
Greyson McNeill have been picked
GoMart Pioneers of the Week, the GSU Athletic Department announced.
Howe, a junior out of Las Vegas, Nev., was a big piece of the Pioneer softball team going (4-0) last week with doubleheader sweeps against West Virginia Wesleyan and Davis & Elkins. The now first baseman went 6-for-14 (.428) with two home runs, 10 RBIs and two walks against the Bobcats and Senators. She hit a home run against each team and had two three-RBI performances as well as a pair of two-RBI games to help the Pioneers clinch their second consecutive MEC South Division title.
McNeill, a redshirt freshman outfielder out of Dunedin, Fla., went 6-for-10 (.600) in three games against Concord this past weekend, notching two hits in each contest he played. He added two home runs, two doubles and four RBIs to his weekend total, going:
- 2-for-3 with a HR, double and RBI in game one
- 2-for-4 with a HR, walk and three RBIs in game two
- 2-for-3 with a double in game three
