THE OPPONENTS
FROSTBURG STATE

2026 Season
Frostburg State enters the week with a (4-2-1) overall record and a (3-1-1) mark in Mountain East Conference play. The Bobcats opened conference play with wins over Davis & Elkins and Wheeling, battled nationally-ranked Fairmont State to a scoreless draw, and most recently defeated West Liberty 5-0 before falling 1-0 to Point Park on Sunday.

Quick Look at The Bobcats
The Bobcats have been one of the stronger defensive teams in the MEC through the opening weeks of the season. In addition to their draw with Fairmont State, Frostburg has allowed one goal or fewer in five of its seven matches. Offensively, the Bobcats have shown the ability to score in bunches, highlighted by a five-goal performance against West Liberty. Glenville State will face a balanced team that has already established itself as a contender in the conference standings.

POINT PARK
2026 Season
Point Park enters the week with a (4-3) overall record and a (4-1) conference record. The Pioneers have been one of the conference's early surprises, collecting four MEC victories through their first five league matches. Their most recent result was a 1-0 victory over Frostburg State, improving their conference record and earning them the current second place spot in conference standings as they continue their season of MEC competition.

Quick Look at The Pioneers
Point Park has relied on a strong defensive effort throughout conference play, recording several shutouts and limiting scoring opportunities for opponents. After transitioning into NCAA Division II competition in 2024, the Pioneers have quickly established themselves as a competitive program within the MEC. Sunday's matchup will feature two teams with identical (4-1) conference records, making it an important contest in the standings.

THE PIONEERS
GLENVILLE STATE
2026 Season
Glenville State enters the week with a (4-3) overall record and a (4-1) mark in MEC play. After opening conference action with a win over West Virginia State, the Pioneers defeated Charleston and Shawnee State before earning a 1-0 road victory over Concord on Sunday. Glenville State has won four of its last five matches and currently sits at the top of the MEC South standings.

Quick Look at The Pioneers
The Pioneers have found success through strong defensive play and timely scoring throughout conference competition. Goalkeeper Lucia Lopez and the Glenville State back line have helped the team record multiple shutouts this season, while players such as Solares Solano, Valentina Quiroz, and Aitana Viejo have provided offensive production. This week's schedule presents two significant challenges against teams with winning conference records, giving the Pioneers an opportunity to continue their momentum as conference play progresses.
