THE PIONEERS
The Pioneers opened up their season a few weeks ago at the Thundering Herd XC Invite, which proved to be a good start for the team. Natalie Barr opened up her season with a 4th place finish at Marshall, while transfer Tammy Liplin finished 13th.overall. Patrick Reilly finished 7th overall to lead the men's side. After the Marshall meet, the men remained ranked as 10th in the region after receiving the ranking in the preseason.

The team hopes to make another statement at the Atlantic Region Preview by utilizing their strength in pack running. The women will open up with their first 6k of the year on Friday. Groups such as Morgan Ruggles, Abby Dixon, Kamryn Armstrong, and Ella Austin are a strong group of girls that will push each other to the finish line to create a strong team finish while the men's side features Caden Davis, Jackson Mallett, Luke Barr, Alex Irvin, Griffin Brunty, Ethan France, and Jacob Barthalow, who will look to do the same as they run their first 8k of the year.

This meet will be a good opportunity for both groups to get a visualization of schools in the conference as well as the region. It will also build momentum heading into the rest of the season.
