Madison Gargus enters her first season as the Head Coach for the GSC Women's Volleyball program.
Madison was a four-year starter for Glenville State from 2015 to 2018 as a setter. In her time as a Lady Pioneer she has played in 362 sets, tallied 59 kills, finished with 553 digs, while tallying 2,063 assists. She was also a team captain for three of her four seasons.
"I am and thrilled and excited to start my coaching career at GSC. Not everyone can land their first coaching job at their alma mater. I would like to thank President Nelson, Athletic Director Skiles and the rest of the search committee. We are ready to move this program into new territory," stated Gargus.
Prior to coming to GSC she played high school volleyball at South Haven High School in South Haven, Michigan.
She also spent part of the 2019 season on the sidelines as a GA for the Lady Pioneers before taking a job as an admission counselor at Glenville State College.
"We are beyond thrilled to have Madison joining the Pioneer coaching family. She has been a member of the family as an athlete and now we get to see her grow into a wonderful coach. We are positive that she will lead this program in the right direction," stated AD
Jesse Skiles.
Madison resides in Glenville.
