Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Pioneers won their fifth straight game as they went on the road and defeated the Davis & Elkins Senators 92-85.
Glenville State (5-3, 2-2) would hold a one point lead midway through the first half 18-17, but Davis & Elkins then went on a run as they took the lead into halftime over the Pioneers, 41-39.
In the second half it would be all knotted up at 52 all with 14:51 left, after that tie the Pioneers would then take the lead and never look back as they picked up a big road victory.
Glenville State was led by
Terry Davis Jr. and
Brett Morris as both of them scored 24 points. Morris also finished with eight rebounds and five assists.
Also for the Pioneers
Jalon Plummer,
Jon Dunmyer, and
Brooks Ely all scored 11 points in the win.
Davis & Elkins (4-9) was led by Kevin Bracy-Davis as he scored 21 points.
Glenville State will return to action after the New Year when they travel to Notre Dame College on Tuesday, January 3
rd for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off with the Falcons.
