Glenville, W.Va. – Glenville State scored 47 second half points as they came from behind to pickup a tough road victory over the Battlers of Alderson Broaddus 79-76 on Wednesday night.
The Pioneers (3-3, 2-2) would struggle in the first half as they would trail by as many as 21 points. GSC did make a 6-0 run to end the first half as they trailed the Battlers (1-7) at halftime, 44-32. Â
In the second half
Terry Davis Jr. would score 16 points and
Brett Morris scored 12 of his 21 as GSC pulled off the comeback victory.
Glenville State's defense forced Alderson Broaddus into 16 turnovers and scored 18 points off of them. The Pioneers also outscored the Battlers in the paint 38 to 36.
GSC had four players score in double figures with
Brett Morris scoring a game high 21 points to go along with eight boards and four assists.
Terry Davis Jr. finished with 16 points, all in the second half, and grabbed a team high nine rebounds.

Jon Dunmyer scored 11 points with freshman
Brooks Ely also scoring 11 points.
Alderson Broaddus was led by Sam Sanders as he scored 18 points.
Glenville State will return to action on Friday, December 16
th as they host Illinois Springfield. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m. It will also be School Appreciation Day as elementary and middle school students can attend the game for free.
