Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Lady Pioneer volleyball team fell to the Mountain Lions of Concord University on Friday night at the Waco Center, 3-0.
Glenville State (0-19, 0-10) finished the night with 37 kills on 11 attacks while Concord (10-17, 4-6) racked up 35 kills on 88 attacks.
Errors plagued the Lady Pioneers as they had 14 more than the Mountain Lions in the game at 24 to 10.
Concord cruised in the first set as they took it 25-17. In the second set GSC started hot as they took a 4-1 lead however Concord battled back and tied it up at 11-11. But the Mountain Lions made a late run as they took set two, 25-20.
In the third set, GSC again held a slight advantage at 8-6 but errors would allow Concord to catch up and eventually take the final set, 25-19.
Bailey Brawner led GSC in kills with 10 while also having two serve aces in the game.
Allison Parski led the team in assists with 19 while
Haley Wolff had a team high 16 digs.
Concord was led by Alexi Pranckus as she had a game high 11 kills.
Glenville State (0-19, 0-10) will host the Cavaliers of UVa-Wise on Saturday, October 28
th at 1 p.m. from the Waco Center.
