Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Lady Pioneers got two big games from
Bailey Brawner and Jazaray Clark-Casto as they each recorded 11 kills however it wasn't enough as they fell to West Virginia State University, 3-1 (25-21, 25-23, 25-12, 25-13).
Glenville State (0-21, 0-12) recorded 39 total kills in the game while West Virginia State (14-13, 6-7) finished with 38 kills, however the Lady Pioneers committed 33 errors while the Yellow Jackets only had 16.
West Virginia State controlled most of the first set as they went on to win it, 25-21.
Glenville State bounced back in the second set as they had 14 kills to West Virginia State's five kills as the Lady Pioneers won it, 25-23.
The Yellow Jackets cruised in the third set as they took it, 25-12. GSC tried to bounce back in the fourth set however West Virginia State proved to be too much for the Lady Pioneers as they won it, 25-13.
Again GSC was led by
Bailey Brawner and Jazaray Clark-Casto as they each had 11 kills on the night.
Allison Parski led the team in assists with 23 and also recorded two serve aces. Hailey Wolff had a team high 18 digs on the night.
West Virginia State was led by Allison Tumey as she had a game high 12 kills.
Glenville State (0-21, 0-12) will hit the road tomorrow Saturday, November 4
th as they travel to the University of Charleston for a 2 p.m. matchup with the Golden Eagles.
